MD4316 – Songwriting and Performance

To expand my creativeness as a musician I thought the idea of writing some original songs were I source the basis of each instrumental elements would an effective way to show a good sense of development progress throughout the module. Practising with ambient riffs on different strings at different speeds and with a capo I now have some rough sketches or some melodies that would be great to turn into original tracks. 

My first Demo is a very simple section of the structure and the riff I will use. Making use of the software instruments in logic I used two acoustic guitar parts, one with steel strings as the main section and used a Plectrum pad to fill the track out. I also layered in an electric guitar track so that the finished demo is a step closer to the intended guitar sound I want on the finished track. I then dragged in some logic drums so I can get a sense of what percussion I want to add to the track when I record drums. It will be important to synthesise this will be my biggest strengths.

To be as creative as possible my idea for this project is to feature on a number of tracks as a session musician, Getting involved with multiple pieces of work and working with different students will be a good way to express my musical identity allowing me too show my skills as a recording artist, performer, and express my talents providing music for drums, bass creating melodies.

from this point forward I need to create a plan for how I can incorporate my current ideas and demos into professionally recorded songs. Deciding who I want to bring in to feature on my tracks and how I can promote myself as a reliable musician to work with other people to bring their music to life music.
